Divonna M. Stebick, Ph.D.

Divonna M. Stebick, Ph.D. is currently an Associate Professor at Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education, her Master’s Degree in Reading, and her doctorate in Special Education and Literacy Policy. She taught numerous grade levels in Pittsburgh, PA, and in Carroll County, MD. Divonna currently consults with various school districts, higher education institutions, and other organizations to provide participants with professional development in the areas of inquiry, data analysis, literacy, special education, digital literacy, innovation, and design thinking. Divonna researches the implications of digital literacy, comprehension, inquiry, effective instruction, and teacher preparation.

Dr. Stebick along with her husband, Tim, co-founded Enlightened Learning Center, a non-profit tutoring and educational services center, in Hanover, Pennsylvania where Divonna served as a certified Education Director.  The learning center provided tutoring services for children/adults and offered innovative summer enrichment experiences.  Divonna currently resides in Hanover, PA with her husband and their two young adult sons. Divonna is an avid reader, baker, hiker, winemaker, artisan, and runner.
